The La Marzocco Leva S is a commercial lever espresso machine that rethinks what a lever-actuated machine can be, combining traditional mechanical coffee extraction with modern engineering, safety, and precision control. La Marzocco states that the Leva S was designed so cafés no longer need to compromise on safety in order to use lever technology, while the exposed lever group gives a clear view of the machine’s standout mechanics.
Built to be mechanical, reliable, and user friendly, the Leva S reduces the force required to operate the machine by almost 50% compared with a traditional lever machine, while also introducing a safety clutch system. This makes it a strong choice for businesses that want the theatre and extraction style of a lever machine, but with a more practical and controlled workflow for daily commercial use
The Leva S also gives baristas more control over extraction by allowing adjustment of both pre-infusion pressure and the maximum extraction pressure delivered by the lever piston. According to La Marzocco, this helps personalise coffee brewing and achieve more consistent shots. With over 2,500 hours of testing, the Leva platform was developed to set a new standard for reliability in a mechanical system.
For commercial performance, the Leva S includes dual boilers for separate espresso brewing and steam production, saturated groups for thermal stability, dual PID control for coffee and steam boiler temperature, and dedicated pressure gauges to monitor real-time pressure applied to the coffee puck. It also features Pro Touch steam wands, insulated boilers, eco mode, a graphic display, USB firmware update capability, a hot water economiser, and an adjustable drip tray for taller takeaway cups.

Can we buy this machine online?
Machines priced under £5,000 can be bought straight through checkout. Above that we quote, because the specification, siting and installation need agreeing before the machine is ordered.
Do you install the machine?
Yes. Installation and commissioning can be added to your order on espresso and bean to cup machines. We position the machine, connect it to the water and power already at the installation point, commission it, dial it in on your coffee and walk your team through daily cleaning. We do not carry out plumbing or electrical work.
What needs to be ready before installation?
A suitable water supply and power at the machine's final position, plus clear access on the day. If either needs new work, your own plumber or electrician handles that beforehand.
Can you train our staff?
Yes. Barista training can be added to your order on espresso machines, run on site on your own machine and your own coffee, covering extraction and dialling in, milk technique, workflow and daily cleaning.
Can we lease rather than buy?
Yes. Lease pricing is shown on machines where it applies, and the agreement itself is arranged by our corporate team.
Who services the machine afterwards?
Servicing and maintenance agreements are handled by our corporate team, who look after machine estates across multi-site accounts.
