Installation & Commissioning

One visit. Machine on, coffee right.

Installation covers everything from the van to the first shot:

  • Delivery and positioning on the counter
  • Connection to water and power already at the installation point
  • Commissioning — pressure, temperature and pre-infusion set for the machine
  • Dialling in on your own coffee, so the first drink you serve is the one we tasted together
  • Daily cleaning and backflushing walked through with your team

BARISTA TRAINING

Consistent drinks from every shift

A hands-on session on your espresso machine, usually run straight after installation while the coffee is fresh and the team is together. We cover:

  • Dialling in and the recipe — dose, yield, time — and how to adjust the grind through the day
  • Milk texturing and temperature for flat whites, lattes and cappuccinos
  • Workflow at pace, so the queue moves without the quality dropping
  • Cleaning, backflushing and the small habits that keep a machine out of the workshop
  • Fault-finding: what to check before you call us

How it works

  • 1. Tell us the machine and site

    The machine you're buying or already running, the site postcode, and when you'd like it in. If the machine is coming from us, mention the order number.

  • 2. Site check

    We call to confirm water, power, access and a date that suits your service hours — before anything is booked.

  • 3. Install day

    Delivery, positioning, connection, commissioning and dialling in on your coffee. Plan for half a day; we'd rather not rush the last step.

  • 4. Handover and training

    Your team runs the machine with us before we leave, then the training session follows if you've booked it.

What your site needs before we arrive

  • Water

    A mains cold-water feed with an isolating valve within reach of the machine, or space for a pumped tank system. We fit and connect the filter; we don't run new pipework.

  • Power

    A dedicated supply rated for the machine — we confirm the exact requirement for your model on the site call. Any electrical work needs to be done by your electrician before install day.

  • Space and access

    A level counter that takes the machine's weight, room for the grinder and knock box, and clear access for delivery. Tell us about stairs, lifts and parking when you book.

Installation & training — quick answers

Can you install a machine we're buying from you?

Yes, and it's the usual way it happens — installation is arranged alongside the machine order so delivery and install day are booked together. Under £5,000 the machine goes through checkout; above that we quote first and the installation sits in the same quote.

Do you do the plumbing and electrics?

No. We connect to water and power that are already at the installation point and fit the water filter. New pipework or a new electrical supply needs your plumber or electrician first — we'll tell you exactly what's required on the site call.

How long does installation take?

Plan for half a day. The physical install is quick; commissioning and dialling in on your coffee take longer, and they're the part that decides how the machine performs.

Who is barista training for?

Anyone who'll make drinks on the machine — new openings, a team moving from bean-to-cup to espresso, or an established site that wants consistency across shifts. It's delivered on your own machine, on site.

Do you train on bean-to-cup machines?

Bean-to-cup handover — menu set-up, cleaning cycles, milk system — is part of installation. The barista training session is for espresso machines, where technique decides the drink.

Do you cover our area?

We cover UK mainland from our base in Guildford. Tell us the site postcode when you enquire and we'll confirm availability and lead time before you commit to anything.

We're opening several sites. Is that different?

Multi-site rollouts and machine estates are handled by our corporate team, who plan the whole estate rather than site by site. Mention the number of sites in the form and we'll route it.
