Buying coffee for a business
-
Buy by the case, not the bag
Singles sit at retail parity — the trade saving unlocks at case level. A 6kg or 12kg case lowers your cost per kilo and means fewer deliveries to take in.
-
Match the grind to the machine
Whole bean for espresso and bean-to-cup; ground to your brew method for filter and batch. Tell us the machine and we will grind to suit.
-
Know your cost per cup
An 18g double from a £16.95/kg coffee costs about 31p in beans. Model your own menu with the calculator before you commit.
Wholesale coffee — quick answers
How fresh will the coffee be?
How fresh will the coffee be?
Every order is roasted after you place it, six days a week, and dispatched at peak freshness — not picked from warehouse stock. Espresso blends hit their stride five to ten days from roast; filter can be poured sooner.
Is there a minimum order?
Is there a minimum order?
No minimum. Order a single 1kg bag or a pallet, and mix coffee with syrups, tea and sundries in the same box. See Delivery & Returns for thresholds and lead times.
Can we taste before we switch supplier?
Can we taste before we switch supplier?
Yes — request a trade sample pack. Tell us your brew method, the flavour direction you want and your weekly volume, and we will match a set to your setup.
Can we sell it under our own brand?
Can we sell it under our own brand?
Yes — our white label service packs speciality coffee under your label, either in your own printed bags or ours carrying your artwork.
Organic coffee beans for cafés, offices, hotels and caterers, roasted to order at our Guildford roastery and supplied in 1kg bags, 6kg and 12kg cases, or by the pallet.
Every coffee here is a single origin from Guatemala, El Salvador or Colombia, selected for balance and consistency in the cup. That matters when “organic” is printed on your menu: customers and staff should get the same coffee in week twelve as they did in week one.
Why businesses choose organic coffee
An organic coffee gives you a clear, simple sourcing story for menus, tenders and workplace sustainability reporting. We choose on taste first and never buy on a label alone, so each coffee earns its place on quality as well as on how it was grown.
Trade formats
- 1kg bags — for trialling a coffee or for lower-volume sites.
- 6kg cases — the everyday format for cafés and offices.
- 12kg cases — the lowest cost per kilo for busy sites.
- Pallets — quoted by our trade team for multi-site and high-volume buyers.
Frequently asked questions
What does organic mean for coffee?
Organic coffee is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers, on farms managed to look after their soil and surroundings.
Can I describe the coffee as organic on my menu?
Before you print organic claims on menus, signage or retail packs, ask our trade team for the supporting documentation for the coffee you serve. Call 01483 808580 or email contact@redber-wholesale.co.uk.
Will these coffees work on our equipment?
Yes. The medium-dark and dark roasts in this range suit commercial espresso and bean-to-cup machines and hold up well in milk drinks, and they also brew well as filter or batch brew. Roast level and tasting notes are on each product page.
Is the coffee roasted to order?
Yes. We roast six days a week in Guildford, so your order is roasted for you rather than taken from stock.
Can we try before ordering cases?
Yes. Start with a 1kg bag, or request a trade sample pack.
What if our order is over £5,000?
Orders up to £5,000 check out online. For larger or multi-site orders, send a trade enquiry and the team will quote.
