Mahlkönig E80S GbW – Grind-by-Weight Espresso Grinder
The Mahlkönig E80S GbW is a next-generation espresso grinder built for high-volume speciality coffee environments where precision, speed, and workflow efficiency are critical. Designed for busy cafés, roasteries, and hospitality venues, this grind-by-weight model delivers ultra-fast grinding performance with exceptional dosing accuracy — ensuring consistency in every shot, even during peak service.
Engineered in Germany with premium components, the E80S GbW combines 80mm special steel burrs with integrated real-time weighing technology, allowing baristas to grind by exact weight directly into the portafilter. The result is improved shot consistency, reduced waste, and faster dial-in adjustments.
Precision Grinding with Grind-by-Weight Technology
The integrated high-precision load cell measures grounds in real time, automatically stopping at the programmed dose. This eliminates time-based inconsistencies and significantly improves repeatability across shifts and baristas.
The patented Disc Distance Detection (DDD) system allows for precise burr gap adjustment, ensuring exact grind size calibration and faster setup when changing coffees.
Built for Speed and High Demand
With powerful motor performance and 80mm special steel burrs, the E80S GbW delivers exceptionally fast grinding while maintaining low heat retention — preserving flavour clarity and espresso quality. It is ideal for high-output environments where speed and consistency must go hand in hand.
The slim, modern housing fits seamlessly into contemporary bar design while offering robust durability for continuous commercial use.
Barista-Centric Workflow
The large, high-resolution display with an intuitive interface allows easy recipe programming and adjustment. Frequently asked questions
Can we buy this machine online?
Machines priced under £5,000 can be bought straight through checkout. Above that we quote, because the specification, siting and installation need agreeing before the machine is ordered.
Do you install the machine?
Yes. Installation and commissioning can be added to your order on espresso and bean to cup machines. We position the machine, connect it to the water and power already at the installation point, commission it, dial it in on your coffee and walk your team through daily cleaning. We do not carry out plumbing or electrical work.
What needs to be ready before installation?
A suitable water supply and power at the machine's final position, plus clear access on the day. If either needs new work, your own plumber or electrician handles that beforehand.
Can you train our staff?
Yes. Barista training can be added to your order on espresso machines, run on site on your own machine and your own coffee, covering extraction and dialling in, milk technique, workflow and daily cleaning.
Can we lease rather than buy?
Yes. Lease pricing is shown on machines where it applies, and the agreement itself is arranged by our corporate team.
Who services the machine afterwards?
Servicing and maintenance agreements are handled by our corporate team, who look after machine estates across multi-site accounts.
