The La Marzocco Jay is a commercial espresso grinder built for simplicity, precision, and consistency. Designed around a distinctive magnetic burr holder, it increases the cutting surface for fast, even grinding while also making cleaning quicker and easier. La Marzocco positions the Jay as a grinder that delivers exceptional grind quality with an intuitive workflow for busy professional settings.

Its 68 mm flat burrs, designed by La Marzocco, are paired with a patented burr alignment system to help keep the burrs perfectly parallel when changed, supporting high grinding accuracy and shot-to-shot consistency. The burr holder is magnetically attached, giving baristas and technicians faster access to the grinding chamber and helping protect against foreign objects such as stones.

The Jay has also been designed for ease of use. Dose programming is handled through an intuitive interface, and the grinder supports smart connectivity for grind-by-weight accuracy when paired with a La Marzocco Connected Scale through the La Marzocco app ecosystem. Official guidance also notes that the grinder retains less than 2 grams of coffee, helping reduce purge waste and making dial-in more efficient.

With its compact footprint, stepless grind adjustment, and low-retention design, the Jay is well suited to cafés, bakeries, restaurants, and other professional espresso environments looking for a premium grinder that combines workflow efficiency with precise espresso preparation.

Do you provide installation and servicing?

Installation and ongoing servicing are available UK-wide. Tell us your site details when you enquire and we will include it in your quote.

Specified, supplied and installed by our own team in Surrey. Every machine is sold alongside the roasted-to-order coffee that runs through it.

What installation covers

  • Delivery to UK mainland and positioning at the point of installation
  • Connection to the water and power supply already in place
  • Commissioning, pressure and temperature checks
  • Dialling in on your own coffee
  • Handover and daily cleaning walkthrough with your team

Not included

  • Plumbing: new water feeds, waste runs, or moving an existing supply
  • Electrical work: new circuits, isolators, or supply upgrades
  • Counter cutting, worktop alteration or structural work

Water and power must already be present at the machine's position. We do not carry out plumbing or electrical work — your site needs a suitable supply ready before we arrive.

Frequently asked questions

Can we buy this machine online?

Machines priced under £5,000 can be bought straight through checkout. Above that we quote, because the specification, siting and installation need agreeing before the machine is ordered.

Do you install the machine?

Yes. Installation and commissioning can be added to your order on espresso and bean to cup machines. We position the machine, connect it to the water and power already at the installation point, commission it, dial it in on your coffee and walk your team through daily cleaning. We do not carry out plumbing or electrical work.

What needs to be ready before installation?

A suitable water supply and power at the machine's final position, plus clear access on the day. If either needs new work, your own plumber or electrician handles that beforehand.

Can you train our staff?

Yes. Barista training can be added to your order on espresso machines, run on site on your own machine and your own coffee, covering extraction and dialling in, milk technique, workflow and daily cleaning.

Can we lease rather than buy?

Yes. Lease pricing is shown on machines where it applies, and the agreement itself is arranged by our corporate team.

Who services the machine afterwards?

Servicing and maintenance agreements are handled by our corporate team, who look after machine estates across multi-site accounts.
